Take care of it while you have it. Life is beautiful. Because it’s short.
HANDS DOWN BEST LINEUP CATCHPHRASE.
Last year I won an IG giveaway that toocoolforschool US was hosting and I got the whole lineup for freee
And you know, me being busy with school and work and hobbies and life I am finally sharing my thoughts about this lineup.
But before everything else, let’s do a quick background on this Korean brand for those who may not be familiar.
too cool for school
from toocoolforschool.us
Too Cool For School
Too Cool For School is an artistic cosmetic brand focused on creative experimentation and contemporary culture. We believe in quality and uniqueness.
Too Cool For School was created in New York City. The artwork for the first artist-collaborative packaging was created simultaneously with a freelance illustrator in London. Today, Too Cool For School is one of the most sought-after brands in South Korea as it sets new standards and advocates artistic expression in contemporary beauty culture.
Our Dinoplatz packaging was designed by Crosspoint New York, our creative team who invited artist Hatori Sando for the collaboration. We love to support the arts through collaborations.
Like Hatori Sando, all our affiliates are active artists. This list includes designers, painters, musicians, and dancers. We love sharing contemporary culture as you can see in our products and the lifestyles that we support both online and off.

The first products that I recal seeing from TCFS were the dinoplatz lineup which consisted of makeup and I believe a fragrance. And since then I’ve seen them produce a lot of skincare and expand around pretty well.
The artwork for the Za line was a collaboration with Danny Scales a Brooklyn based musician who is a designer and photographer at Philistine Design, Director and co-founder at Voiid Studio and Art Director at Felte. He directed the ZA cleansing line video and was the illustrator of the original ZA skulls (you can read more about Danny here).
As always before we begin…
My skin type
- Dry Skin
- Non- Sensitive (literally have not reacted to hundreds of products over the course of my lifetime)
- Concerns
- blackheads especially on the nose
- The occasional pimple
- inhibiting wrinkle formation
- preventing cancer
- transitioning from Hot Humid Summer to Cooler Drier Fall weather
And now the products
SITKOZA cleansing gel
wash and zzz….
- From the packaging
- Moisturizing, smooth, water-based jelly cleanser
- This wash-type aqua cleansing gel removes heavy makeup in one cleansing step. Light consistency and gentle formula are suitable for sensitive skin. Cherry Blossom and damascus rose water extract leaves your skin moisturized rather than feeling tight and dry.
- Ingredients: Water, Cyclopentasiloxane, Cyclohexasiloxane, Caprylyl Methicone, Cyclotetrasiloxane, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Butylene Glycol, Alcohol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Polyacrylamide, C13-14 Isoparaffin, Laureth-7, Olive Oil PEG-7 Esters, Beta-Glucan, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Prunus Serrulata Flower Extract, Phenoxyethanol, Carbomer, Allantoin, Propylene Glycol, Acacia Senegal Gum Extract, Rosa Damascena Flower Water, Agave Tequilana Leaf Extract, Methylparaben, Fragrance, Propylparaben, Sorbitol, Ascophyllum Nodosum Extract, Asparagopsis Armata Extract.
- Silicone-free; phthalate-free; sulfate-free
- Volume:
- 150ml/5.07 fl. oz.
- Price:
- seems to hover closer to $20usd as of late while I feel like last year I saw it closer to $12usd
- pH:
- issa low, I tested it around a 5 which could vary depending on the pH of your tap water
- Scent:
- kind of bright and a little citrusey which I enjoy but I understand that not everyone wants fragrance.
- My thoughts:
- I really enjoyed this. Since my skin is dry I look for low pH second cleansers to help me keep as much of my natural oil as possible
- I’ve actually almost used this up entirely with only washing my face (and not like, makeup brushes with it) and that is really saying something
- As a second cleanser (after using a makeup remover or oil cleanser) I thought this worked perfectly. If I was trying to remove say sunscreen or waterproof makeup this is not enough. As a morning cleanser this is pretty nice too since it’s so gentle
- Overall 10/10 works as I expected it to and would recommend
- Sploot
- light foam

- Volume:
- 180ml/6.08 fl. oz.
- Price:
- seems to always hover around 20 usd
- Scent:
- is kinda soft to me but sort of that generic spa scent.
- My thoughts
- Does this remove makeup & suncreen: yes
- Does this remove waterproof makeup: for most of the complexion products yes but it did have some trouble with waterproof mascara
- Does this remove waterproof sunscreen: yes
- Overall: I like that this rinses really cleanly for me and the ingredient list isn’t too long. I think that it performs like most oil cleansers and I feel the only big drawbacks would be the mineral oil for some and the price (since there’s cheaper oil cleansers out there)
- plain
- with water

- Volume:
- 200ml/6.76 fl.oz.
- Price:
- seems to average around 23/25 usd
- pH:
- with my tester strips seems to clock in around 4/5
- Scent:
- kind of a sweet fruity floral
- My thoughts
- Does this remove makeup & suncreen: yes
- Does this remove waterproof makeup: for most of the complexion products yes but like the cleansing oil it did have some trouble with some extra strong waterproof mascara
- Does this remove waterproof sunscreen: yes
- Overall: I am not the type of person to just use a cleansing water and leave that as my only cleansing step, since to me they always leave a bit of a residue. The residue from this cleansing water isn’t too sticky but I feel something there. The biggest bonus for me is that this doesn’t burn my eyes like crazy since I tend to use cleansing waters as eye makeup removers. My biggest gripe is the price, because cleansings waters are so ubiquitous now, you can get a much bigger bottle for like 5 bucks. Now if you’re eyes/skin are more sensitive to ingredients then I could see springing for this is works for you.

- lavender powdery
- My thoughts
- Does this remove makeup & suncreen: yes
- Does this remove waterproof makeup: yes
- Does this remove waterproof sunscreen: yes
- Overall: you may not be able to tell from the picture but this is actually a bi-phase makeup removing solution. I usually have better luck removing all the super crazy strong waterproof mascara and even lip tints. Though I don’t wear lip tints often I do find this helps to remove the swatches of the tints I make a lot better than other makeup removers. The price a little bit high for such a small amount of product but since I’m using it for point makeup removal Its only a few dollars more than the drugstore makeup removers I’m used to buying anyway (like the covergirl one) I would recommend this, plus it has a cool skull on it

- My thoughts
- Soooo even though the scent of the wipes is a little different, the ingredients for each of these is listed as the same and the marketing is pretty similar. I wouldn’t be surprised if one was just travel sized and they function like a normal makeup wipe so I would put it up to you to decide if you like having them in your routine. I actually only really use these while I put my makeup on rather than take it off so I tend to go for super cheap makeup wipes. Overall, I would say see if you can try them out before you buy as they don’t seem too wildly different from your usual makeup wipes
My favorites so far?
I would say check out the cleansing gel and the lip/eye makeup remover. Those I went back to the most out of all of these and I feel like using up over half of a product as a beauty blerger inundated with products really says something.
Now there are a couple of new additions to this line, a black cleansing oil and a black cleansing foam which I would be interested in trying but not until I finish these guys off.
thanks for reading!
Cheers
